THE WORKSHOP
ELORA — The art of Orthodox Iconography
For 30 years, Elora has served the art of iconography with respect and love for the Orthodox tradition. Inspired by the Cretan and Macedonian artistic styles, we apply traditional techniques and materials, such as egg tempera and gold leaf, emphasizing authenticity, detail and high aesthetics, in portable icons and murals. In parallel, throughout all these years we have developed significant expertise in the conservation of murals from modern times, undertaking work such as cleaning from smoke and deposits, with the aim of restoring and highlighting their original aesthetics.
